“There are not enough words in the world that can adequately show the impact that Champions For Learning and Take Stock in Children will have on my future,” says Andrea, a 2013 Take Stock in Children graduate. “Their support means more than just financial assistance. This is a boost of confidence and motivation. It’s an incredible feeling to know that someone out there is supporting me.”
On January 18, multiple golf foursomes gathered for the Champions For Learning’s Take Stock in Children Pro-am Golf Tournament, which was presented by Capital Wealth Advisors and hosted by Chubb Classic. In addition the Naples Daily News was also a major sponsor. During the tournament, golf foursomes were paired with some of the best local pros in Collier County and were given game-changing tips as they played. Click here to view the event’s photos.
This one day of golf promises to change the life of students, like Andrea. Through this event and the generosity of the foursomes, Champions For Learning will be able to induct new students into the Take Stock in Children program. These students will make a commitment to: maintain a high GPA, stay drug/crime free, and meet with a caring adult mentor weekly throughout the school year. Once the student graduates high school and fulfills all of their commitments, they will earn a two-year tuition scholarship to a Florida state college or technical training school.
